Our "Stereo Sound Reference Records," which we have been releasing since the early 1990s, now includes "Vol. 10 Deutsche Grammophon Best Recordings, compiled and annotated by Keizo Yamanaka," a particularly popular title within the category now known as the Critics Series, and it is finally being released on analog LP. This compilation was compiled in the early 1990s by Keizo Yamanaka with the aim of assessing the playback environment of audiophiles, using the cutting edge digital recordings of Deutsche Grammophon to select and compile tracks with superior sound quality. While inheriting analog recording techniques, the tracks were recorded and produced using the latest digital recording equipment of the time, and even when played on modern audio systems, they deliver a rich and colorful sound.

This work, selected and compiled by Keizo Yamanaka, who has a deep understanding of both classical music and audio equipment, can be enjoyed by listening to each track individually, but it is also noteworthy that the overall composition of the album is carefully crafted. This commentary, which delves into the characteristics of recordings on the Deutsche Grammophon label and touches upon the highlights and difficulties of playback, will be an invaluable guide for audiophiles.
