生活の設計 Seikatsu No Sekkei – 長いカーブを曲がるために For The Long Curve (LP)

More than two and a half years after their debut album, the brother duo Seikatsu no Sekkei released their second album in 2025, Nagai Curve o Magaru Tame ni (“To Take the Long Curve”), now available on vinyl LP.

While their first album Kisetsu no Tsukamaekata leaned toward a gentle “new café rock” sound, their subsequent live activities pushed their music in a more dynamic and aggressive direction—this album vividly captures that current creative stance.

On the production side, Akihito Katayose (GREAT3) produced tracks 2 and 4, with Hirohisa Horie on keyboards and Kenichi Shirane contributing as drum tech. The arrangements carry a “youthful, soulful flavor” reminiscent of early GREAT3 works, driving the album forward. Additional guest musicians include Masaharu Kurita (Hedigan’s / Merchant / Glider) and Shinya Inoue, among others.

Across eight tracks and 30 minutes, the album gently embraces the hustle of city life and the subtle daily fluctuations, presenting mature yet tender Japanese-language pop.

For this LP edition, a special discussion titled Seikatsu no Sekkei × Akihito Katayose is included, delving into behind-the-scenes stories of the album’s creation and each artist’s creative approach—content exclusive to this release.

デビューアルバムから2年半余り。兄弟バンドとなった生活の設計が2025年に発表した2ndアルバム『長いカーブを曲がるために』が、このたびアナログLPとしてリリースされる。

前作『季節のつかまえ方』では “ニュー喫茶ロック” とも言える穏やかなサウンドを基調としていた彼ら。しかしその後のライブ活動を通じて、音楽性はよりダイナミックに、よりアグレッシブに――本作はその現在地を鮮やかに刻んだ一枚。

サウンド面では、M2・M4に片寄明人（GREAT3）がプロデューサーとして参加。両曲には堀江博久が鍵盤、白根賢一がドラムテックとして参加し、GREAT3初期作にも通ずる“青春感あふれるソウルのフレーバー”を帯びたアレンジが、アルバムの推進力となっている。
さらに栗田将治（Hedigan’s / Merchant / Glider）や井上真也ら多彩なゲストが参加。

都市生活の喧騒も、日々の小さな揺らぎも、そっと包みこむ全8曲・30分。成熟を見せながらも、変わらず優しい日本語ポップスがここにある。

今回のLP化にあたり特別プログラム「生活の設計×片寄明人」の鼎談を収録。アルバムの制作秘話からお互いの創作スタイルにまで踏み込んだ、ここでしか読むことのできない内容となっている。

2023年、1stフルアルバム『季節のつかまえ方』をリリースし、青山・月見ル君想フでのワンマンライブはソールドアウト。
同年「レコードの日」に7インチ『キャロライン / むかしの魔法』を発表。

2024年には澤部渡（スカート）、砂の壁を迎えた自主企画「新生活」を開催。
雑誌『POPEYE』11月号「やっぱりバンドっていいよね。」では小西康陽との鼎談が掲載されるなど、各方面で注目を集める。

2025年10月、片寄明人をプロデューサーに迎えた2ndアルバム『長いカーブを曲がるために』を発表。
