Billy Higgins – Soldier

Billy Higgins was one of the house drummers for Blue Note Records and played an important role in the recordings of Dexter Gordon’s ‘Go!’ and Herbie Hancock’s ‘Takin’ Off’ amongst others.

In 1979 he released his second album ‘The Soldier’, on which Monty Waters, Cedar Walton, Walter Brooker and Roberta Davis are featured.

‘The Soldier’ is available as a limited edition of 500 copies on translucent green coloured vinyl. This edition is part of the Timeless Records 45th Anniversary Jazz Series
