The album's title, which translates to "With All the World," is a direct tribute to Laura Lee’s Mexican-American grandfather, who would often ask her, "¿Cómo me quieres?" (How do you love me?), to which she would reply, "Con todo el mundo." This spirit of borderless love shapes the entire record. While their debut drew from '60s Thai funk, Con Todo El Mundo expands its horizons to pull from the under-discovered 1970s funk, soul, and psychedelia of the Mediterranean and the Middle East, particularly Iran.
