永井博も見初めた福岡を拠点に活動する5人組シティポップバンド、BARBER IN THE LIVINGROOM。
今作は音楽に造詣の深いメンバー5人のそれぞれの芯となる部分が集結した、1stアルバムにふさわしい作品で、メンバーが共通して好んでいるソウルミュージック、シティポップ、AORを核として音を構築した現代のシティポップを体現した1枚となっています。
グルーヴィーなリズム隊とソウルフルな歌声、共存する懐かしさと新しさは、80 年代シティポップ世代に留まらず、現行シティポップリスナーにも響く作品です。
また、このアルバムは、コロナ禍において、メンバーそれぞれが自宅録音した音源を、リモートでミックスさせた、いわば、"リモート作品"とも呼べる挑戦作でもあります。45回転仕様、全6曲収録。

BARBER IN THE LIVINGROOM is a 5-member city pop band based in Fukuoka that Hiroshi Nagai also first met.

This work is suitable for a first album as it brings together the core parts of each of the five members who are deeply knowledgeable about music. The sound is built around soul music, city pop, and AOR, which the members all like. This is a record that embodies modern city pop.

The groovy rhythm section, soulful singing, and coexistence of nostalgia and newness are works that resonate not only with the 80's city pop generation but also with current city pop listeners.
Also, this album is a challenging work that can be called "remote work", in which each member recorded the sound source at home and mixed it remotely during the coronavirus pandemic. 45 RPM specification, 6 songs, clear vinyl.
