Instant Cytron – It’s A Fancy Day 1993-1994 (LP)

2021年のアナログ・リイシュー・シリーズが好評を博したインスタント シトロン。メジャー・デビュー前、3人体制で福岡を拠点に活動していた1990年代前半に制作され、久しく入手困難だった音源が、10月20日にLPレコードで発売決定！ 全音源、初アナログ盤化！

A面はミニアルバム『BABY, YOU’RE LOVE』の内容にオムニバス盤『the birth of the true II』収録曲を加えた5曲。B面にはオムニバス盤『SURFIN’ MUSIC』でのビーチ・ボーイズのカバーとミニアルバム『Cytron’s Fancy Manifesto』を合わせた5曲を収め、うち「American Citron」は当時商品化されなかったレアなオリジナル・バージョンとなっている。

1994年に南フランスで撮影された片岡知子お気に入りの写真を採用した新装ジャケットでお届け！

インスタント シトロン：
片岡知子（作詞、vo、etc.）、長瀬五郎（作曲、g）、松尾宗能（programming、b）により、福岡で結成。楽曲制作とライブ活動を重ね、1993年にミニアルバム『BABY, YOU’RE LOVE』（ポルスプエスト・レコーズ）でインディーズ・デビュー。1994年のミニアルバム『Cytron’s Fancy Manifesto』を経て、1995年、片岡と長瀬の2人体制で東芝EMIからメジャー・デビューを果たした。以後4枚のシングルと5枚のアルバムを発表し、2006年頃にグループとしての活動を休止。2021年、アルバム全5タイトルがメンバーもこよなく愛したアナログ・レコードでリイシューされ、ファンのみならず幅広いミュージック・フリークの間で話題を呼んだ。

Instant Citron:
Formed in Fukuoka by Tomoko Kataoka (lyrics, vocals, etc.), Goro Nagase (composition, guitar), and Munen Matsuo (programming, bass). After producing music and performing live, he made his independent debut in 1993 with the mini album “BABY, YOU’RE LOVE” (Porspuest Records). After releasing the mini-album “Cytron’s Fancy Manifesto” in 1994, they made their major debut on Toshiba EMI in 1995 with Kataoka and Nagase. Since then, they have released 4 singles and 5 albums, and suspended their activities as a group around 2006. In 2021, all five album titles were reissued on analog records that the members loved very much, creating a hot topic not only among fans but also among a wide range of music freaks.
