‘remember a stranger’ is the debut full-length album by Singapore shoegaze band motifs. Recorded in early 2022 by Leonard Soosay of Snakeweed Studios, the album straddles two themes – ‘fading memories’ and ‘coping with loss’. Many of the songs were inspired by Elspeth Ong’s memories of her growing up years and expriences.
The album’s cover art draws parallel with this concept by capturing the ‘nostalgia of childhood’ through the experimentation with various colours and textures to generate a ‘hazy vintage’ effect.
